MTL CANADIENS #33 Patrick Roy
Patrick Roy, known as "Saint Patrick," was one of the greatest goalies in Montreal Canadiens history. He played 10 seasons with the team and helped lead them to two Stanley Cup wins in 1986 and 1993.
Roy was famous for his fast reflexes, big saves, and fiery attitude. In the 1986 playoffs, he was just a rookie but played so well that he won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player. He became known as a clutch performer—someone who shines when the game matters most.
Roy was also known for his passion and confidence. He often showed strong emotions on the ice, which made him exciting to watch and a fan favourite.
In 2008, the Canadiens retired his number 33 jersey to honour everything he did for the team. Patrick Roy will always be remembered as a legend in Montreal and one of the best goaltenders in NHL history.
