LAL LAKERS #22 Elgin Baylor
Elgin Baylor was one of the greatest basketball players in NBA history and a true legend for the Los Angeles Lakers. He was known for his athletic ability, scoring, and team leadership.
Baylor joined the Lakers in 1958 after playing college basketball at Seattle University. He quickly became one of the best forwards in the league. He could score from anywhere, grab rebounds, and even play above the rim, which was rare at the time.
One of his biggest moments came in the 1961–1962 season, when he scored 71 points in a game against the New York Knicks — a record at the time. His talent, effort, and leadership helped the Lakers reach the NBA Finals several times.
Off the court, Baylor was known for being humble, honest, and kind. He supported charities, gave back to the community, and used his success to help others.
Elgin Baylor will always be remembered as one of the greatest Lakers of all time and someone who helped shape the game of basketball.
