Barclay Plager was a tough and loyal defenseman who played a big role in St. Louis Blues history. He spent over 10 years with the team and became known as the heart and soul of the franchise.
Plager was fearless on the ice. He was known for his hard hits, strong defence, and always putting the team first. His style of play showed the hardworking spirit of St. Louis hockey.
He was also a great leader. His effort and determination inspired his teammates and helped the Blues become a better team.
To honour his amazing career, the Blues retired Plager’s jersey number 8. His number now stands for pride, toughness, and tradition for Blues fans everywhere.
