NYG GIANTS #14 Y.A. Tittle

Y.A. Tittle was one of the greatest quarterbacks in New York Giants history. Known for his toughness, leadership, and smart play, Tittle helped lead the Giants to great success in the early 1960s.

He joined the Giants in 1961 and quickly became their starting quarterback. Tittle was great at reading defences and making accurate throws. He helped guide the team to three straight division titles and played in the 1962 NFL Championship Game. That season, he threw 33 touchdown passes and was named the league's Most Valuable Player.

Tittle became a fan favourite for his strong performances and for never giving up, even in tough games. One of the most famous photos in NFL history shows him kneeling on the field, bloodied and exhausted, showing how much he gave for his team.

Off the field, Tittle was respected for his kindness and his efforts to help others. He stayed active in the community and was a role model for younger players and fans.

The Giants retired Tittle’s jersey number 14 to honour everything he did for the team. He will always be remembered as one of the toughest and most respected players in Giants history.
