LAR RAMS #75 Deacon Jones - SQ

Deacon Jones was one of the greatest defensive players in Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams history. He was known for his fearsome pass rushing, relentless energy, and the famous "head slap" move that made him hard to block.

Jones joined the Rams in 1961 and quickly became one of the top players in the NFL. He was great at getting to the quarterback, stopping plays, and making life tough for the offence. He was chosen for many Pro Bowls and earned the respect of fans, teammates, and opponents.

One of his biggest achievements was helping create the idea of the "sack" — bringing down the quarterback before he could throw the ball. He became known as the "Secretary of Defense" and set the standard for future defensive stars.

Off the field, Jones was known for his charisma, leadership, and charity work. He gave back to the community and became a hero for many fans in Los Angeles and beyond.
