KC CHIEFS #36 Mack Lee Hill - SQ
Mack Lee Hill was a strong and talented running back for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was known for his speed, power, and hard work. Even though his career was short, he made a big impact on the team and its fans.
Hill wore number 36 and joined the Chiefs in 1964 as an undrafted free agent. He quickly became a standout player. His strong running and ability to break tackles made him a big part of the team’s offence. He was also good at catching passes and helping in the passing game.
Sadly, in 1965, Hill suffered a knee injury during a game against the Buffalo Bills. After surgery, his condition suddenly got worse, and he passed away at only 25 years old.
To honour him, the Chiefs retired his number 36 jersey. Mack Lee Hill will always be remembered for his talent, hard work, and the promise he showed in his short time with the team. His story is a reminder of how quickly life can change and the strength of the human spirit.
