DET LIONS #37 Doak Walker

Doak Walker, who wore number 37, was one of the best and most exciting players for the Detroit Lions in the 1950s. Known for his skill, smarts, and versatility, Walker helped lead the Lions to some of their greatest seasons.

As a running back, Walker was fast, hard to tackle, and great at finding openings in the defence. He could quickly change direction and was always a threat to score when he had the ball.

Walker was also an excellent receiver, often catching passes out of the backfield and turning short throws into big plays. On top of that, he was a reliable kicker and punter, making him one of the most complete players in the game.

During his career, Walker was chosen for the Pro Bowl five times, named First-Team All-Pro four times, and helped the Lions win NFL championships in 1952 and 1953.

In 1986, Walker was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, honouring his amazing career. Off the field, he was known for being humble, kind, and active in the community. Doak Walker will always be remembered as a true Lions legend and one of the greatest players in NFL history.
