CLE GAURDIANS #3 Earl Averill

Earl Averill was one of the best outfielders in Cleveland Guardians (formerly Indians) history. Known for his great hitting, strong defense, and hard work, Averill became a fan favourite and a key part of the team during the 1930s.

He joined the Guardians in 1929 and quickly showed his talent. Averill could hit for both power and average, and he had a strong arm in the outfield. His all-around skills made him one of the top players of his time.

Averill was a six-time All-Star and won a batting title in 1936. He was known for playing the game the right way—giving his best effort and always putting the team first.

Off the field, Averill was respected for his kindness and character. He gave back to the community and helped younger players, always leading by example.

Earl Averill’s name is still remembered in Cleveland baseball history as a true legend of the game.
