Steve McNair, known as "Air McNair," was one of the most loved and respected players in Tennessee Titans history. He was known for his toughness, athletic skill, and strong leadership on and off the field.
McNair was picked third overall in the 1995 NFL Draft and quickly became the leader of the team. He was great at running with the ball, making big throws under pressure, and leading his teammates with confidence.
More than just a great player, McNair was a strong leader in the locker room. He helped younger players, worked hard every day, and always put the team first. His teammates, coaches, and fans all respected him for his dedication and heart.
One of the biggest moments in McNair’s career came in 1999, when he led the Titans to Super Bowl XXXIV. Even though they didn’t win, his leadership and fight during the playoffs showed how great he was.
To honour his amazing career, the Titans retired McNair’s jersey number 9. He will always be remembered as a true legend and one of the greatest players in team history.
