Tom Chambers was a high-scoring forward who made a big impact on the Phoenix Suns and the NBA. Known for his exciting dunks, smooth jump shot, and strong effort, Chambers became a fan favourite during his time with the Suns.

Chambers was born on June 21, 1959, in Ogden, Utah. He was picked eighth in the 1981 NBA Draft by the San Diego Clippers. After playing for the Clippers and the Seattle SuperSonics, he joined the Phoenix Suns in 1988.

At 6 feet 10 inches tall, Chambers had a rare mix of size and speed. He could drive to the basket or shoot from long range, making him very hard to guard.

In the 1988-1989 season, Chambers had one of his best years. He was named an NBA All-Star and made the All-NBA Second Team while averaging more than 25 points per game.
