NYG GIANTS #16 Frank Gifford

Frank Gifford was one of the most versatile and respected players in New York Giants history. He played many positions, including running back, wide receiver, and defensive back, and stood out for his skill, leadership, and toughness.

Gifford joined the Giants in 1952 and quickly became a star. He was chosen for the Pro Bowl eight times and was named First-Team All-Pro five times. His ability to play on both offence and defence made him a rare and valuable player.

In 1956, Gifford helped lead the Giants to a championship win and was named the league’s Most Valuable Player. He was known for making big plays when it mattered most, and his smart, all-around play helped define the team during that era.

Off the field, Gifford was known for his class and kindness. He worked to support local charities and was a well-known figure in the New York community. After his playing days, he became a popular TV broadcaster, earning even more respect across the country.
