LAC CHARGERS #14 Dan Fouts

Dan Fouts was one of the best quarterbacks in Los Angeles Chargers history. Known for his strong arm, accurate passes, and leadership, Fouts helped lead the team to some of its greatest years and became a fan favourite.

Fouts joined the Chargers in 1973 as a third-round draft pick. He quickly became the team’s starting quarterback and helped them find success in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He was great at reading defences, throwing deep passes, and leading his team in close games.

His best season came in 1981, when he led the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns. He won the NFL MVP award that year and took the Chargers to their first AFC Championship Game. His talent and leadership made him one of the top quarterbacks in the league.

Off the field, Fouts was known for being humble, hard-working, and giving back to the community. He supported many charities and stayed involved in helping others during and after his playing career.

To honour him, the Chargers retired his number 14 jersey. Dan Fouts will always be remembered as a Chargers legend and one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.
