GB PACKERS #14 Don Hutson - SQ
Don Hutson, who wore number 14, was one of the greatest players in Green Bay Packers history and helped change the way the wide receiver position is played. He was fast, had great hands, and could run sharp routes that confused defenders. People called him "The Alabama Antelope" because of his speed and agility.
Hutson was a huge part of the Packers’ offence and became one of the first big stars in the passing game. He scored many touchdowns and set records that lasted for years. He was a favourite target of Packers quarterback Bart Starr and was known for always making big plays.
He was chosen as an All-Pro eight times and won two NFL MVP awards. In the 1939 NFL Championship Game, he caught four touchdown passes, one of the greatest performances in team history.
Off the field, Hutson was respected for his hard work and professionalism. He inspired future players with his dedication and love for the game. In 1963, he was added to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, where his legacy as one of the NFL’s best wide receivers lives on.
