Brad Daugherty was a star center for the Cleveland Cavaliers and one of the best big men in team history. Known for his scoring, rebounding, and leadership, Daugherty helped lead the Cavaliers through one of their most successful eras.
He was picked first overall in the 1986 NBA Draft and quickly became a fan favourite. With his smooth moves in the post, soft shooting touch, and great passing ability, Daugherty was the heart of the Cavaliers’ offence. He helped lead the team to the playoffs many times and was one of the top players in the league.
During the 1991–1992 season, Daugherty earned his fifth straight NBA All-Star selection. He was a consistent force on the court, always putting up strong numbers and helping his teammates play better.
Off the court, Daugherty was known for his kindness, professionalism, and community work. He supported many charities and stayed connected with the city of Cleveland. Today, he’s remembered not just as a great player, but as a true ambassador of the game.
