CLE BROWNS #76 Lou Groza
Lou Groza, who wore number 76, was a legendary player for the Cleveland Browns from the 1940s through the 1960s. Nicknamed “The Toe,” Groza played both offensive tackle and kicker — a rare combination — and became one of the most iconic players in Browns history.
On offence, Groza protected his quarterback as a strong and steady tackle. As a kicker, he was known for his powerful and accurate leg, often coming through in big moments. His ability to play both positions at a high level helped the Browns win many games.
During his amazing career, Groza was picked for nine Pro Bowls and helped the Browns win four NFL championships. His leadership and work ethic made him a role model for his teammates and future generations.
Off the field, Groza gave back to the community and earned respect for his kindness and generosity. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1974, and his legacy as one of the game’s greats still lives on in Cleveland and beyond.
