CLE BROWNS #46 Don Fleming - SQ

Don Fleming, who wore number 46, was a standout safety for the Cleveland Browns in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Known for his hard hits, smart play, and ability to make big plays, Fleming was one of the top defenders of his time.

On the field, Fleming helped lead the Browns' defence. He was great at reading plays, intercepting passes, and delivering big tackles. His tough and smart playing style made him a key part of the team and earned him respect across the league.

Fleming was selected to two Pro Bowls and played an important role in the Browns’ strong defence that later won the NFL Championship in 1964. His leadership and effort inspired his teammates and showed what it meant to play with heart.

Sadly, Fleming’s career and life were cut short when he died in a drowning accident in 1963 at the age of 25. Even though his time with the Browns was brief, he is remembered as one of the team’s best defensive players and a true professional on and off the field.
