In college, Davis was a two-time All-American and won the Heisman Trophy in 1961. He was known for his leadership and strong character, inspiring his teammates and many young athletes.
Sadly, Davis was diagnosed with leukemia in 1962 and passed away at just 23 years old. Even though he never got to play in a regular-season NFL game, his courage and achievements continue to inspire.
